Job description
Progressive Care-Telemetry at Augusta Health is a 32 bed unit. Nurses on this unit care for adult patients who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems. The patient population on PCU/Tele includes cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, pulmonary and more. As a RN on our unit, you will be accountable for the coordination of direct patient care, education, and serve as the leader of the patient care team in a fast paced setting. Nurses on this unit are trained in cardiac rhythm interpretation and work closely with other disciplines to ensure patients receive the highest quality care.
By working on PCU/Tele, you will have immediate opportunities to be a part of shared governance, to promote evidence-based practice, and to lead organizational change in nursing practice. Our team is dynamic and hardworking. In each encounter they strive to meet the needs of each individual patient while also ensuring the best patient experience.
**We are offering up to $15,000 sign on bonus, and competitive new RN rates**
Requirements:
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience required.
- BSN or ADN currently enrolled in a BSN program preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Positive attitude, with enthusiasm for caring for our community.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Solid critical thinking skills and a strong application of the nursing process.
- Must have effective adherence to infection control practices.
