Pay Range: $131.90 - $211.05

Major Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership for inpatient and outpatient operations across all sites of care.
  • Lead development and execution of multi-year strategic and business plans aligned to system priorities.
  • Ensure unified, coordinated care delivery models and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee operational and financial performance including quality, safety, patient experience, and throughput.
  • Direct planning and execution of new and expanded programs, services, and facilities.
  • Partner with physicians to advance clinical programs and service line growth.
  • Manage capital planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to accrediting standards.
  • Accountable for hospital readiness related to regulatory compliance, accreditation surveys, emergency preparedness, incident command participation, and continuity of operations.
  • Lead and develop operational leadership teams, including performance management and talent decisions.
Education/Experience Required

Advanced Degree in Business, or Hospital Administration; or Nursing; or Health Care Related Field. Typically requires minimum of 10 years experience with progressive leadership in healthcare management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Demonstrated management skills including analytical skills, ability to work well with others, team building and conflict resolution skills. Effective communication and presentation skills. Ability to work across all lines of management and staff to promote good relationships among departments
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, including managed care and healthcare reimbursement. Strong knowledge of clinical operations
  • Strong physician relations skills

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for leadership, direction, and driving operational excellence over all hospital operations. In partnership with C-suite executives, the COO will exercise management responsibility over operations at all acute and ambulatory sites, ensuring efficient services are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public and teammates. In coordination with site presidents, COO will assist in coordinating matrixed departments / services and other related activities as well as strategic alignment of the service lines and related departments across the Patient Service Area. The COO is expected to act in the absence of the President.
