Job description

A growing private equity firm is seeking a Finance Manager to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the organization. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong public accounting background who is looking to transition into an industry role within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


The Finance Manager will oversee core accounting functions, financial reporting, audit coordination, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with leadership and external service providers/


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversee general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party providers during audits and compliance activities
  • Monitor cash activity and assist with treasury-related functions
  • Support the implementation and improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Assist with system implementations, process enhancements, and operational efficiencies
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reporting for leadership as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, legal, compliance, and executive leadership teams


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 4–7 years of experience, including experience in public accounting
  • Big 4 or regional public accounting firm experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience managing audits, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
