The team manages the continuous operation, maintenance, and evolution of the world's largest single-instance SAP deployment - a platform that sustains Apple's global supply chain and the integrity of its core financial systems.
Description
SAP Technology team within Apple is responsible for managing a large set of SAP systems, some the one of the biggest and busiest in the world. These systems support critical business functions within Apple. This team is technical owner of SAP landscapes. The team is primarily responsible for system scalability, availability, performance, Infrastructure security and Software life cycle management.
We are looking for highly hands-on candidate with intellectual curiosity and deep knowledge on RCA and recommending and implementing best SRE/DevOps methodologies and ability to solve complex issues with creative ideas.

Maintain Linux and other types of systems on-premise and cloud like AWS,GCP.
Triage production issues along with other dev ,infra and production support team members
Conduct root cause analysis of critical issues in large-scale distributed systems
Enable zero-downtime deployment process through the use of continuous delivery practices, rapidly releasing features etc
Work with QA, security, and development teams to craft solutions
Developing self-service tools to enhance developer productivity for application management as necessarily required.
Actively analyze and handle issues on with platforms before they impact end-users
Be a key player in improving operational maturity though producing long term fixes from issues identified and enable team accordingly.
Collaborate on microservices systems architecture design.
Ability to participate in and after hours on-call rotation schedule.
Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, completely hands-on, dynamic and detail oriented individual with a strong technical background.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MongoDB, Other NoSql databases
Good understanding of micro-services architecture.
Experience with container based technologies such as EKS , GKE , Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge on AWS services including VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, RDS, Route53.
Demonstrated ability to write programs using a high-level programming languages or scripting, such Java,JS,Python,Shell etc.
Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex Unix/Linux systems environment and applications implementations.
Experience with logging infrastructure and using tools such as Splunk
Ability to build tools from scratch when needed
Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating across many participating teams.
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of experience in DevOps/SRE, build/release/deployment automation.
5 years of experience in improving CI/CD tools, processes and procedures as required.
5 years of experience in designing and building CI/CD pipeline with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
5 years of experience in Spark, Kafka, Zookeeper, Redis and other in-memory technologies is an added advantage.
5 years of experience in Oracle database and PL/SQL is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
