Job description


The Installation Supervisor is a full-time salaried position which oversees a crew responsible for installing fixtures, managing fixture relocations, and performing repairs for American Greetings' retail partners. This role ensures retail fixtures and product displays are installed accurately, creating an organized and visually appealing shopping environment.
Working closely with Field Management, the Installation Supervisor ensures revised programs and customer initiatives are executed according to company standards. This position plays a key role in supporting retail operations and ensuring the successful implementation of American Greetings initiatives.
The Installation Supervisor also fosters strong relationships with store management and personnel to support efficient project execution and maintain positive partnerships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Hires, trains, evaluates, and maintains a team of crew members to assist in installation and revisions.
• Develop a cohesive merchandising and fixturing team by fostering effective communication, providing constructive feedback, offering mentorship, and ensuring accountability to successfully support installations and revisions.
• Utilize workload scheduling applications to manage installation requests, revisions, and fixture-related issues.
• Maintain regular communication with Field Management throughout the installation and remodel process to ensure retail excellence and adapt to any last-minute changes.
• Ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards and remain in budget.
• Operate tools required for installations, revisions, and repairs.
• Review and analyze Power BI reports affecting the territory, focusing on capacity planning, budgeting, and shipment information.
• Maintain a fully operational, company-provided vehicle, ensuring routine maintenance is conducted as required; the vehicle is strictly for business use.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Precisely manipulates single and groups of AG product; removes cello wrap, maneuvers carts, opens cartons and uses a hand-held scanner or PDA device.
• Frequently required to lift, push and/or move up to 60 lbs. with assistance.
• Frequently required to stand for extended lengths of time, up to eight hours with breaks.
• Regular use of company approved hand and power tools. May be required to use ladders, hand trucks, and dollies.
• On occasion, will be required to drive long distances to reach work locations.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Experience Required:
• The qualified candidate will have prior successful retail, merchandising, or customer service leadership experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and prior supervisory experience.
• Experience leading at least one successful major change initiative from concept to implementation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Proper use of relevant and appropriate technology for position (i.e. phone and apps, PC).
• Familiarity with and capability to use hand tools, portable power tools, ladders, and pallet jacks.
• Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers, supervisors, and customers.
• Ability to read and understand department layout and product diagrams including merchandising bulletins. Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships throughout the organization.
