What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Nursing Instructor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Nursing Instructor, you need a strong background in nursing practice, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, and a valid RN license, often supplemented by teaching experience. Familiarity with learning management systems, simulation lab technology, and current clinical guidelines is typically required. Exceptional communication, mentorship, and organizational skills help foster student engagement and support diverse learning needs. These skills ensure effective knowledge transfer, student preparedness, and adherence to educational and clinical standards in nursing education.

What are some common challenges Nursing Instructors face when transitioning from clinical practice to teaching, and how can they overcome them?

Nursing Instructors often find the transition from clinical practice to classroom teaching challenging due to differences in communication styles, curriculum development, and student assessment methods. Adapting to diverse student learning needs and managing classroom dynamics can also be demanding. To overcome these challenges, it's helpful to seek mentorship from experienced educators, participate in faculty development programs, and actively collaborate with colleagues to share teaching strategies. Emphasizing clear communication and continuous self-reflection can further ease the transition and enhance teaching effectiveness.

What are nursing instructors?

Nursing instructors are professionals who teach and train aspiring nurses in academic and clinical settings. They develop lesson plans, deliver lectures, supervise clinical practice, and assess student performance. Nursing instructors play a key role in ensuring that students acquire the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors required to succeed as nurses. Most nursing instructors have significant clinical experience and hold advanced degrees in nursing or education.

Job Description
About Company:
We believe our employees empower our company and are the reason behind our success. We are the nation's largest educational consultant and test prep center specializing in credit-by-examination degree paths, headquartered in Wayne, New Jersey.
Most working adults struggle to overcome the many obstacles associated with obtaining their college degree. Achieve acts as a counselor, advocate, and partner, helping students achieve their degree in less time, with less effort, and for less money by utilizing an alternative path to earning college credit known as the credit-by-examination process. While our credit-by-examination programs can shorten the path to any degree at virtually any college, the field where we have the most significant impact is the nursing profession.
Employee engagement and development is one of the keys to our success at Achieve! Embracing a work-from-home model for the entire company, all employees enjoy a better work-life balance through flexible work schedules. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace, where diversity is celebrated and equal opportunity is the cornerstone of our culture
About the Role
Achieve is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and creative Paid & Organic Media Manager to own our digital acquisition and brand growth across paid, social, and content channels. This role combines performance marketing expertise with content and social strategy to fuel enrollment growth, boost engagement, and strengthen brand presence.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you'll manage paid media campaigns, oversee content strategy and social calendars, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive measurable impact across the full funnel from awareness to conversion.
Why You'll Love This Role
This position offers the opportunity to shape a unified growth strategy that blends creativity with performance. You'll have the autonomy to experiment, innovate, and directly influence how Achieve reaches and inspires its audiences. If you thrive where art meets analytics and want to make a measurable impact on a fast-growing, mission-driven organization, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Bing, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms to drive high-quality leads and audience engagement.
  • Oversee paid and organic strategies that complement each other, ensuring consistent brand messaging and measurable growth across both acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Manage monthly budgets and continuously monitor key metrics such as cost per lead (CPL), return on ad spend (ROAS), conversion rate, and engagement performance.
  • Develop and maintain a dynamic content and social calendar that aligns with brand campaigns, launches, and audience insights.
  • Partner with design and video teams to create high-performing assets that inspire action, increase engagement, and increase conversions.
  • Identify emerging trends, platform updates, and new audience opportunities to inform strategy and creative direction.
  • Test and refine ad creatives, audience segments, and content formats through A/B testing and data-driven experimentation.
  • Repurpose long-form content such as blogs, webinars, and student stories into impactful social, short-form video, and remarketing assets.
  • Evaluate and manage third-party lead vendors, ensuring compliance with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and internal privacy standards while maintaining data accuracy and lead quality.
  • Report regularly on performance across paid and organic channels, providing insights and actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, quality, and engagement.
  • Foster community interaction and user-generated content initiatives that strengthen brand authenticity and trust.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, performance media, or content/social strategy.
  • Demonstrated success managing $50K+ monthly advertising budgets and achieving growth goals.
  • Deep understanding of paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Bing) and analytics tools (GA4, Looker Studio).
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and content planning skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated campaigns that connect creative content with measurable outcomes.
  • Analytical mindset and comfort using data to inform decisions, track performance, and optimize campaigns.
  • Proficiency with social media and content management tools such as Sprout Social, Later, or Notion.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, webhook/API integrations, and lead delivery systems a plus.
  • Bonus: Experience with SEO, influencer partnerships, or community/UGC programs.
