About Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry
Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry is a freestanding inpatient behavioral health hospital serving adults with acute psychiatric and substance use challenges. Located in Columbus, Ohio, OHP provides evidence-based, trauma-informed care in a structured, therapeutic environment.
Our multidisciplinary teams deliver individualized treatment across a comprehensive inpatient model, including:

Your Impact as Chief Nursing Officer
As CNO, you will serve as a key member of the hospital's executive leadership team, accountable for both clinical excellence and operational performance. You will:
  • Drive nursing strategy, quality, and operational effectiveness
  • Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and frontline teams
  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, and state regulatory standards
  • Oversee nursing budgets, staffing models, and workforce planning
  • Partner closely with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders
  • Monitor patient outcomes and lead continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Influence executive decision-making and long-term strategic planning

How We'll Support You
Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry combines local hospital leadership with the strength and resources of Acadia Healthcare, the nation's largest stand-alone behavioral healthcare provider. You'll receive:

Qualifications
  • Active RN license in Ohio (or eligible for reciprocity)
  • Proven nursing leadership experience (CNO, DON, or equivalent)
  • Inpatient behavioral health nursing experience in a psychiatric hospital setting
  • BSN required; MSN or relevant specialty certification preferred
  • Strong strategic, operational, and interpersonal leadership skills
  • 6+ years of RN experience required (10+ years preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive nursing leadership experience
  • At least 2 years of inpatient behavioral health RN experience
