It examines topics such as sexual orientation, gender identity, sexual behavior, and the social, cultural, legal, and political aspects of sexuality. The field draws from disciplines like sociology, psychology, history, literature, and gender studies to offer critical insights into how sexuality shapes and is shaped by society. Sexuality studies also investigates issues of power, representation, rights, and health related to sexuality.
