Job Opportunity: Physician (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation)
Location: On-site, Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC
Start Date: Immediate
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday
Lead Brain-Injury Rehabilitation for America’s Warfighters
We're seeking a PM&R physician to deliver expert brain-injury and rehabilitation care at the Intrepid Spirit Center, Womack Army Medical Center. You'll lead individualized rehab plans across physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, neuropsychology, and social work — serving as the clinical anchor for an interdisciplinary team supporting Soldiers and their families.
What You’ll Do
  • Provide expert PM&R evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment, including brain-injury rehab plans.
  • Prescribe and coordinate physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, neuropsychology, and social work services.
  • Perform and interpret EMG and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) studies; order prosthetics, orthotics, and rehab equipment.
  • Teach and consult with physicians and therapists; document care in MHS Genesis within three business days and respond to patient messages within one business day.

Who You Are
  • A board-certified (or board-eligible) PM&R physician with strong brain-injury experience.
  • A confident clinical leader who can guide an interdisciplinary team across PT, OT, SLP, neuropsych, and social work.
  • Motivated by mission and committed to evidence-based, patient-centered care.

What You’ll Need
Education & Training
  • M.D., D.O., or equivalent from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school; completed an ACGME- or AOA-accredited internship and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Certifications & Licensure
  • Current BLS; Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABPMR); active, unrestricted state medical license; 10-digit NPI matching the Fort Bragg practice location; DEA registration if prescribing controlled substances.
Experience
  • At least two years of direct patient care within the past five years, with privileges in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Other Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship (or eligibility to work on a federal military installation); able to maintain an acceptable Tier III security investigation and obtain a CAC for installation access; up-to-date immunizations, TB screening, and facility health requirements.

Why You’ll Love It Here
🏥 Mission that matters — your care directly supports Soldiers and their families recovering from traumatic brain injury and related conditions.
📅 Steady, weekday schedule — predictable daytime hours, federal holidays observed.
👥 Interdisciplinary team — physicians, therapists, nurses, and researchers working side-by-side.
💰 4% 401(k) match — helping you build long-term financial security.
Ready to Join Us?
If you're ready to bring your clinical expertise to a mission that supports U.S. service members, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and bring your experience, judgment, and compassion to a team that values your expertise and your commitment to the mission.
