Start Date: Immediate
Schedule: Full-Time (MondayโFriday, 8:00 AMโ4:30 PM, with on-call rotation)

French Consulting is seeking a Psychiatrist to deliver comprehensive psychiatric services at the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
This is an opportunity to work in a structured, collaborative, mission-driven environmentโserving veterans across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty mental health settings. If you are passionate about psychiatric care and committed to excellence, this role is for you.
What Youโll DoInpatient Care - Collaborate with VA Mental Health staff on inpatient care duties, including:
- Operating and collaborating on physician patient caseloads
- Seeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service ward patients
- Admitting and diagnosing patients
- Developing individualized treatment plans
- Managing and performing timely treatment
- Coordinating discharge and transfer
- Completing all required medical record documentation
Outpatient Careย
- See all new patient referrals with accompanying medical records
- Provide care for severely mentally ill patients
- Perform evaluation, disposition, and E-consult services
- Conduct post-discharge follow-up; patients must be seen within 30 days of discharge

Clinic and Residential Careย
- Operate the clinic, examine patients, and interpret reports as required by the VA
- Work collaboratively with VA staff across various clinic settings
ย
Peer Review- Provide professional psychiatric expertise for peer review of selected cases
- Review includes tort claims, patient and family complaints, Mental Health case reviews, and benefit appeals

Who You Areย
- A skilled, compassionate psychiatrist dedicated to providing high-quality care to veterans
- Committed to meeting or exceeding nationally recognized standards of psychiatric care
- A collaborative professional who works effectively with VA Mental Health staff, residents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented and proactive in clinical documentation, compliance, and reporting
QualificationsLicensure- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- No history of restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily surrendered, or denied licensure in any jurisdiction
Board Certification- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent
Technical Proficiency- Demonstrated proficiency in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, including the full scope of services listed above
