Job description

Amazon is seeking Finance Manager to partner with the World Wide (WW) Prime business team dedicated to Membership Growth. As the team continues to innovate the products it launches and evaluates the future trajectory of Prime, the Finance Manager will partner with stakeholders to develop membership experience insights, evaluate impact of retention initiatives, and influence strategic lifecycle decisions. In this role, you will have substantial visibility with senior leadership as you provide strategic direction while ensuring a strong sense of financial controllership.
Key job responsibilities
- Finance subject matter expert on Prime retention and engagement performance
- Quantify the financial impact of our product initiatives and experiments
- Work with the business team to build business models and value propositions and drive near-term and long-term forecasting
- Collaborate with and present to the senior leadership team on a regular basis
- Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations
- Anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; initiate corrective actions; minimize the impact of negative variances
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
