Job description

About the Position

As a Senior Pricing Analyst for FM & Cocoa, you will play a critical role in driving profitable growth through disciplined pricing execution, cocoa commodity understanding, and strong commercial partnership. You will lead the development of pricing strategies and proposals leveraging chocolate open-book pricing models, commodity market insights, and cost-to-serve analytics. You will act as a key business partner to Sales, ensuring pricing decisions balance competitiveness, margin delivery, and risk management in a highly dynamic cocoa and commodity environment.

 

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Develop a strong understanding of long-term agreements (LTAs), including pricing mechanisms such as cost-plus structures and pass-through clauses, to ensure accurate execution, compliance, and alignment with customer contracts
  • Create competitive price proposals for the sales team, analyzing historic price and margin levels to drive profitable growth for your business unit
  • Present proposals to sales, utilizing market and internal data to validate and justify proposal
  • Book sales contracts upon agreement from customers to lock in business
  • Take pricing ownership of assigned accounts in an independent and proactive way
  • Proactively manage the contracts for your account portfolio in collaboration with sales
  • Utilize open book pricing models, including commodity market coverage, cost & margin analysis and proactive data management
  • Develop and manage effective and analytic reporting tools to support the business unit and the organization's needs
  • Understand the commodity market fundamentals and gather in-depth knowledge on the chocolate manufacturing process in order to improve the pricing process
  • Actively engage with pricing driven projects and participate in projects impacting the team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Customer Service to execute day-to-day pricing activities, ensuring alignment on product specifications, cost inputs, supply considerations, and customer requirements
  • Provide leadership and mentorship within the BU, supporting team development and driving best practices across pricing activities

Scope:

  • Primary support for FM & Cocoa business unit in North America
  • Country scope includes Mexico, United States and Canada

 

About You

  • Fluent in English, Spanish a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 5+ years of experience in Pricing, Finance, or Commercial Analytics, preferably in a commodity-driven or manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic team member with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing business demands and priorities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with various levels of management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (lookup, index-match, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment or with SAP a plus
