Job description

Zurich North America is seeking a highly influential Strategic Relationship Leader to join our Customer Relationship Management team in the Southeast Region. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, strategic customers, and broker partners across Zurich's important growth markets.


In this high-visibility role, you will partner with senior executives, brokers, and key stakeholders to strengthen customer partnerships, identify growth opportunities, and deliver innovative risk solutions that create long-term value. You will work across Zurich's underwriting, claims, risk engineering, and service teams to help shape customer strategy, drive retention, and accelerate profitable growth.


We are looking for a leader who enjoys building executive-level relationships, influencing outcomes, and bringing people together to solve complex challenges.


This position reports to the Head of Customer Relationship Management and supports strategic customers throughout the Southeast Region. Preferred locations include Atlanta, South Carolina or North Carolina though candidates located elsewhere within the Southeast Region may be considered.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary relationship strategist for a portfolio of large, high-value customers and prospects.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite executives, risk managers, brokers, and key decision-makers.
  • Develop and execute customer engagement strategies that drive retention, profitability, and long-term growth.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Zurich's solutions and capabilities across domestic and global operations.
  • Lead executive business reviews, stewardship meetings, and strategic planning sessions for key customers.
  • Partner with underwriting, claims, risk engineering, service, and distribution teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Create compelling value propositions that align Zurich's capabilities with customer business objectives.
  • Leverage market insights, customer intelligence, and analytics to identify opportunities and strengthen account strategies.
  • Coordinate internal resources and leadership engagement to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
  • Travel as needed to support customer relationships and business objectives.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Relationship Management area
    AND
  • Experience managing and growing profitable external customer relationships
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic business plans
  • Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
  • Significant Commercial Insurance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial Property & Casualty insurance experience
  • Underwriting, brokerage, risk management, or client management background
  • Proven success managing large, complex customer relationships and driving profitable growth
  • Existing broker, agent, and customer relationships throughout broader Southeast region
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce and underwriting platforms such as Guidewire, PolicyCenter, Power BI, and the ability to self-serve reporting needs while partnering with underwriting and data science teams to holistically represent the customer relationship.
  • Strong capabilities in running executive‑level meetings and stewardship conversations that integrate Underwriting, Claims, Risk Engineering, and senior leadership for large accounts.
  • Deep customer and relationship management experience with strong strategic planning and execution capabilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing key customers and driving profitable business performance.
  • Ability to engage and influence C‑suite leaders with strong negotiation skills and thought leadership.
  • Knowledge of risk assessments and the ability to deliver clear, actionable risk insights.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, time‑management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed Salary range for this position is $152,400.00 - $249,500.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 25%.
