Key responsibilities
Key competencies and responsibilities include:
• Mortgage Bankers are responsible for providing a premier client and financial advisor experience by providing expert advice, counsel and solution creation to solve client liability management needs
• Mortgage Bankers own the client experience and ensure that it is in line with UBS Bank USA's core value proposition. This is achieved by anticipating and exceeding the client and financial advisor's needs throughout all stages of the loan process
• Mortgage Bankers are responsible for building relationships with Financial Advisors and their respective teams in order to generate additional and ongoing direct referral business
• Mortgage Bankers work closely with UBS Banking Solutions Consultants (field sales) in order to develop comprehensive strategies customized towards serving the needs of each region's overall growth target and market strategy
• Mortgage bankers develop trust and deepen relationships for the firm by providing seamless mortgage origination and processing services ensuring that client objectives are met
Activities:
• Function as a single point of contact to clients and financial advisors throughout the loan process from end to end in a Telesales environment
• Manage active leads and loans to increase loan conversion rates resulting in higher firm revenue/profitability
• Proactively manage loan escalations as needed to ensure timely resolution, detailed communication to appropriate parties and participate in review post-mortem to ensure ongoing process improvement occurs
• Strengthen client retention by ensuring an outstanding client experience
• Proactively discuss and deliver solutions and referrals of UBS Bank USA offerings provided by other UBS groups and business divisions

The team
UBS Bank USA Mortgage Bankers provide mortgage origination services to UBS AG Wealth Management clients enabling them to finance the purchase of residential real property and/or refinance existing mortgages secured by residential real property. Mortgage Bankers seek to develop, maintain and grow business relationships with UBS Banking Solutions Consultants, UBS Financial Advisors and their clients. Additionally, UBS Mortgage Bankers are responsible for coordinating all stages of the loan process with third parties including realtors, home builders/developers, real estate attorneys, accountants, etc. This position requires owning the client and financial advisor experience from end to end, providing expert liability management solutions, and supporting financial advisors efforts to broaden their existing client relationships via additional products and services.
Your skills and experience
• Strong understanding/knowledge of mortgage products
• Ideally 5+ years prior experience as a loan officer and/or experience originating loans for high net worth clientele in a Private Banking environment is preferred
• Proven ability to meet individual as well as organization goals, achieve high net promoter scores and ability to operate with minimal direction and oversight
• Outstanding written, verbal and analytical skills
• Relationship management and development experience
• Superior time management skills and ability to multi-task
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed. Limited travel may be required based on business needs.
• Series 7 & 66 licenses required or must be obtained during employment probationary period
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
