Retail Representative - Seasonal Part-Time

Rescue, rehabilitate, and care for animals; create exceptional personalized experiences that connect people with wildlife and each other in fun, immersive ways.
Your Role
As a part-time seasonal Retail Representative, your goal is to provide everyone who comes into the store with an amazing experience by making their day better than before they came in. With a warm and welcoming smile, you will help our guests choose the perfect souvenirs to take home, promote feedings, adoptions, and special products at the register, and assist guests with general inquiries. If you are looking for a fast-paced, fun environment to show off your customer service skills, join us at ZooTampa at Lowry Park.
DETAILS
Job Type: Part Time (20-28 hours per week)
Schedule: Must be able to work a minimum of 3 days per week including weekends and holidays. Schedule varies and is dependent on weather and guest attendance.
Please note that this is a seasonal part-time position. The projected end date for this position is January 2, 2027.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift and/or move 20-50 pounds
  • Must be able to withstand typical Florida climate including hot and cold conditions.
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Conduct all activities in alignment with AZA standards and guidelines, all relevant laws and regulations, safety standards, and standards that ensure animal welfare.
  • Must be able to work within a designated break schedule.
  • Must have physical endurance for long, high volume days.
  • The ability to communicate clearly with the general public.
  • Manual dexterity for cash handling, use of keyboard/mouse, filing, etc.
