Description:

As a Land Development Project Engineer, you’ll work with team members on the development and production of projects from initial concept through construction administration. From large-scale residential developments to mixed-use commercial complexes and educational facilities, our diverse portfolio allows for accelerated learning and provides a well-rounded experience.

  • Assist the Project Manager, other senior staff, and team with the development and production of projects from initial concept through construction administration
  • Assist in all aspects of the design effort, including, but not limited to:
    • Rezoning & Entitlement Applications, Preliminary Plans, and Site & Subdivision Plans
    • Open and closed storm drainage systems, including stormwater management
    • Water and Sanitary Sewer system design
    • Compliance with zoning ordinances, proffers, and applicable facility standards
    • Erosion and sediment control plans and design E&S control measures in accordance with state criteria
  • Design and create technical documents in AutoCAD using Carlson Design software
  • Develop a working knowledge of VDOT, state, and local standards, policies, and procedures
  • Remain current with Local, State & Federal design standards and regulations to ensure compliance
Requirements:
  • Experience in site/civil services
  • A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Exemplary teamwork, interpersonal, and project management skills
