Schedule: Hours for this position will vary based on the operational needs of the department. Candidates must have the flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts and be available to support coverage as needed.

Job Summary: As a Kids Zone Team Member, play an important role in providing a fun, entertaining, engaging, educational and safe environment for our Kids Zone child members. Assist with organizing kids programming, activities, and games for children between the ages of three months and 11 years.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: First Aid certification required within the first 60 days of hire. Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire.
Work Experience: 6 months - 1 year related experience. Previous experience working with children preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Positive interpersonal communication skills and customer service. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to provide customer service reflective of Saint Francis Health System values. Ability to work effectively with children and have an understanding of developmental and age appropriate activities. Ability to problem solve and manage conflicts.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Greet, acknowledge, and interact with parents and children in a friendly manner. Engage children in interactive activities that include storytelling, organized arts and crafts, singing and games. Provide continuous supervision of children in the play areas, common areas, and in the outdoor play area to ensure their health and safety. Monitor and interact with children to maintain a safe and healthy environment with respect to other children, equipment, and surroundings. Understand and follow all policies and procedures related to child safety. Follow Health Zone procedure for receiving and releasing children to parent or guardian. Change diapers and assist with potty training. Assist children with snacks and bottle feedings. Assist with cleaning and maintaining a clean and safe physical environment for children.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.
Working Relationships: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
