Job description

Program complex parts. Solve difficult manufacturing challenges. Build components that matter.

Homeyer Precision Manufacturing is seeking an experienced NC Programmer to join our growing team. We manufacture precision-machined components for the aerospace, space, defense, semiconductor, and industrial markets, where quality, accuracy, and problem-solving are critical.

If you enjoy programming complex multi-axis parts, improving machining processes, and working with a skilled manufacturing team, we'd like to talk with you.

What You'll Do

  • Create, develop, and optimize CNC programs using Siemens NX CAM
  • Program complex 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling operations
  • Analyze customer drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and specifications to determine machining strategy
  • Select tooling, cutting parameters, machining sequences, and workholding solutions
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Machining teams to ensure efficient production
  • Develop setup documentation, tooling lists, operation sheets, and process instructions
  • Support first article production and troubleshoot machining issues on the shop floor
  • Improve existing programs to reduce cycle time, improve tool life, and increase productivity
  • Implement programming-related corrective actions for nonconforming parts
  • Assist in fixture design and manufacturing process improvements
  • Document in-process inspection requirements and manufacturing processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and 5S

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering or NC Programming experience
  • Minimum 1 year programming CNC mills in a production environment
  • Strong experience with Siemens NX CAM
  • Thorough understanding of GD&T
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
  • Knowledge of multi-axis machining strategies
  • Strong understanding of machining fundamentals including tooling, feeds, speeds, workholding, and cutting tool selection
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience programming 5-axis CNC machining centers
  • Manufacturing Process Engineering experience
  • Experience designing fixtures and workholding
  • Experience with Zoller tool presetting systems
  • Technical degree or vocational training in Manufacturing, CNC Programming, or Engineering Technology

Why You'll Enjoy Working Here

  • Program highly complex aerospace and spaceflight components
  • Work with advanced CNC machining technology
  • Collaborate with an experienced, quality-driven manufacturing team
  • Opportunity to improve processes—not simply maintain existing programs
  • Stable, growing precision machining company with long-term customers in demanding industries

If you're passionate about manufacturing, enjoy solving complex machining challenges, and want your work to have a direct impact on high-performance products, we'd love to hear from you.
