Job description

Kittatinny Zipline Recreation Staff is responsible for supervising the Kittatinny adventures according to safety and operating procedures. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Assistant General Manager.
DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Clearly communicates SOP and LOP guidelines to all employees
  • Upholds and communicates the Operating Companies ethos
  • Responsible for management of all Zip Ride course operations
  • Supervises all Zip Ride staff
  • Ensures all Zip Ride operations are conducted in accordance with Zip operations and safety standards
  • Responsible for overseeing daily and periodic course inspections
  • Monitors all participant groups when the course is in operation
  • Serves as the coordinator of all internal training programs
  • Ensures that all required documentation of course operations is maintained and regularly updated
  • Coordinates the preparation of daily schedules for zip ride personnel
  • Assists with the hiring of seasonal staff
Zip Ride Launching Platform Guide
  • Ensures all zip ride operations are conducted in accordance with Zip Ride safety standards
  • Provides excellent customer service to all guests and participants of the Zip Ride
  • Supervises participants and operations at the loading deck location
  • Provides informative and assertive coaching and instruction for participants preparing to ride the Zip Ride
  • Ensures that all participants know and follow proper zipping procedures
  • Ensures that it has been clearly communicated by the receiving operators that the Zip Ride is “clear” to send participants, the brakes are set and the landing deck is ready to receive participants before sending any participants
  • Ensures that there is a maximum of two participants on the loading deck at any time
  • Completes a daily inspection of all Zip Ride components and all safety gear
  • Ensure that all participants personal protective is fitted properly
  • Ensures that PPE, and other Zip Ride gear is used in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and Zip Ride operations safety standards
  • Assist participant orientation session and pre-screening
  • Assist with Zip Ride and property maintenance efforts
  • Effectively maintains a training log with an additional 2 hours of training per month
Zip Ride Landing Platform Guide
  • Ensures all Zip Ride operations are conducted in accordance with Zip Ride safety standards
  • Provides excellent customer service to all guests and participants of the Zip Ride
  • Supervises participants and operations at the landing deck location
  • Provides informative and assertive coaching and instruction to participants when unloading them from the Zip Ride
  • Ensure that all participants and personal protective equipment return to gear up station
  • Ensure that the Zip Ride is completely clear and that all braking systems and staff are in place and ready to receive another set of participants before clearly communicating that the zip ride is “clear”
  • Assists with daily inspections of all Zip Ride components and safety gear
  • Provides the participant with an appropriate closing statement to the experience and provide the participants with instruction for what to do once finishing the ride
  • Fits harnesses and helmets correctly and supervises the use of all personal protective equipment
  • Assists in participant orientation session and pre-screening
  • Effectively maintains a training log with an additional 2 hours of training per month
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
  • Training and certification will be paid by the company - Must be 18 years of age or older
