Mountain Springs Wellness & Counseling Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) to join our team, offering both full-time and part-time positions. Located in Lubbock, Texas, Mountain Springs Wellness & Counseling Services is an innovative multi-disciplinary mental health clinic that combines various healthcare services such as general medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, family planning, and dentistry. Our mission is to enhance community health by providing comprehensive care that addresses the multifaceted challenges individuals face. This is a remote position, allowing you to provide counseling services from the comfort of your home while making impactful contributions to our clients' mental health. The outpatient office setting is equipped with the latest telehealth technologies to facilitate seamless interactions with clients. You will have access to electronic health records (EHR) systems allowing for efficient documentation and coordination of care.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Mountain Springs, your main responsibilities will include:

• Conducting patient intakes to perform diagnostic and functional evaluations, and collaborating with primary care providers to establish effective treatment plans.
• Providing brief, solution-oriented interventions for clients in need of mental health services, effectively utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Monitoring and initiating follow-ups with clients to assess their progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
• Identifying “at-risk” patients and developing comprehensive relapse prevention plans tailored to support their long-term stability.
• Maintaining robust documentation of client progress and treatment plans in the electronic health records system, ensuring compliance with Agency and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) guidelines.
• Assisting clients in managing any medical treatments required from primary care providers, providing strategies to cope with potential side effects of medications.
• Consulting with clinic management and interdisciplinary team members to enhance service delivery and contribute to program evaluations.

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. Clients are often dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment difficulties, requiring tailored approaches that you will be equipped to provide. Our focus is on holistic care that considers the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and physical health, and your role will be pivotal in guiding patients through their recovery journeys.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling.
• A current, unrestricted License as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
• Proficient understanding of mental health assessment techniques, treatment planning, and psychotherapeutic methodologies, including knowledge of DSM-IV diagnoses.
• Experience working in outpatient settings, ideally within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills to establish rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with healthcare providers.

While not required, experience in culturally competent care, particularly with bilingual (English-Spanish) proficiency, is desirable as it allows for better service delivery within our diverse community. Familiarity with community resources and client-focused service navigation is also an asset that will enhance client outcomes.
