AHEAD is seeking a Technical Consultant for the implementation and optimization of enterprise storage environments across Datacenter and Cloud environments. This is a customer-facing, delivery-focused role responsible for deployment of scalable storage solutions, executing infrastructure projects, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience across Block and File Storage, SAN Infrastructure, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration across delivery workstreams. This role requires travel throughout the US.

Responsibilities
  • Implement storage solutions for performance, availability, recoverability, scalability, and operational simplicity across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Deploy data center and cloud storage technologies including PowerMax, PowerScale, PowerStore, NetApp ONTAP and StorageGRID, Pure FlashArray and FlashBlade, Nasuni, Cloudian, and related platforms.
  • Design, configure, and deploy SAN infrastructure, including Cisco and Brocade Fibre Channel switching. Perform SAN interoperability analysis across server, switch, and storage infrastructure.
  • Support replication and storage continuity technologies such as SRDF, SyncIQ, Pure SnapMirror, Zerto, and related array or host-based tools.
  • Develop technical documentation including solution designs, implementation plans, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Act as a technical point of contact during delivery engagements, status meetings, cutovers, and escalation events.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, account teams, and customer stakeholders to align scope, timeline, and technical outcomes.
  • Provide post-implementation knowledge transfer, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Contribute to delivery consistency, technical quality, and customer satisfaction while supporting junior team members as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging storage, cloud, and infrastructure trends and recommend practical improvements to delivery methods and client environments.
Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise storage infrastructure delivery roles, ideally within consulting, professional services, or complex customer delivery environments.
  • Strong experience with major storage platforms including Dell EMC PowerMax or VMAX, PowerScale or Isilon, Unity, PowerStore, Pure Storage, NetApp, Nasuni, Cloudian, and comparable enterprise technologies.
  • Experience with SAN implementation and interoperability analysis.
  • Experience with integrating, and supporting storage solutions across major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of automation and orchestration using tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex storage and connectivity issues across arrays, hosts, switches, and supporting infrastructure ecosystems.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, including the ability to explain risks and recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in client-facing delivery environments.
  • Experience in deployment and support of enterprise Storage Systems including both block and unstructured data.
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools and practical use of automation to improve delivery consistency and speed.
  • Experience contributing to customer workshops, technical discovery, and solution planning activities.
