Join Le Meridien Indianapolis as a Bartender at the newly refreshed Spoke and Steele! If you are a passionate and experienced bartender with leadership skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. We have redecorated our space and will be reopening with a renewed marketing plan that promises a properous year for diligent front of house professionals.

  • Assists Lead Bartender as needed in ordering, receiving, stocking and maintaining par levels for bar supplies/dry goods/fruits/mixers/purees/etc.
  • Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks for guests and the service bar.
  • Ensures that food and beverages being served are of high quality and properly presented
  • Assists in maintaining beverage systems.
  • Assists the Food and Beverage Supervisors in training new staff.
  • Understands and enforces Indiana and Federal laws and regulations regarding food and liquor sales.

Requirements:


  • Relevant bartending training and experience required. Craft Cocktail knowledge required. Wine presentation and service knowledge required. Knowledge of or desire to obtain experience in craft zero proof beverage offerings.
  • Prior use of a manual espresso machine is a plus.
  • Understanding of how to work effectively and efficiently in an environment that is often quiet and highly personal, and then transitions to being very fast paced during large conventions, requiring the flexibility to be successful in both situations.
  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for providing exceptional service are necessary. The ability to engage with guests personally, but maintain a professional and polished demeanor is required.
  • Indiana alcohol server permit is required.
  • Prior experience working in a hotel is preferred, but not necessary. Absent hotel experience, the willingness to learn how to integrate into service in a hotel environment is required.
  • Weekend and Holiday availability is required, this location operates from 6am-midnight 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

Physical Requirements:· Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.· Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.· Hearing, writing, typing.· Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.· Other duties may be assigned
