Dispatcher – MAVO & BLS Operations (Central/South Region)About Us

Position Summary

The Dispatcher – MAVO & BLS Operations is responsible for managing daily dispatch operations in the South region, with primary focus on MAVO transportation and additional support for BLS services. This role ensures trips are scheduled, monitored, and completed efficiently while maintaining strong communication with drivers, facilities, and internal teams.

This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day MAVO dispatch operations and support BLS dispatch as needed

Coordinate and monitor trips in real time to ensure timely and accurate service

Develop and publish driver schedules using TraumaSoft

Verify trip completion and documentation accuracy

Communicate with drivers regarding routes, delays, and assistance needs

Answer incoming calls, provide ETAs, and address trip-related questions

Monitor and correct timestamps and status updates in TraumaSoft

Utilize routing and scheduling tools to optimize efficiency

Handle rider, facility, and partner concerns and assist with resolution

Enforce use of tablets, Zello, and other communication systems

Prioritize same-day operational needs

Monitor driver performance and compliance with company policies

Assist with training new drivers on dispatch procedures and systems

Issue disciplinary documentation when policies are violated

Maintain relationships with partner organizations and facilities

Provide regular operational updates to leadership

Qualifications & Requirements

Prior dispatch, NEMT, EMS, or logistics experience preferred

Ability to manage high call volume and multitask effectively

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Experience with scheduling software or dispatch systems preferred

Familiarity with TraumaSoft, MDT apps, or similar platforms is a plus

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, office-based environment

High school diploma or equivalent required

Work Schedule

Office Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

In-office position

On-call responsibilities as needed
