Job description

About Veho
Veho's mission is to power the future of commerce by making shopping, shipping and returns seamless for everyone.
We are building a modern, end-to-end logistics infrastructure designed entirely for the ever-evolving needs of ecommerce brands and everyday consumers.
Powered by next-generation technology and a vertically integrated supply chain, Veho gives brands and their customers unprecedented control over their deliveries and removes the pain from the ecommerce post-purchase experience. We make delivery the 'extension of the brand' and leverage it to create deeper loyalty and trust between brands and their customers, driving customer retention and lifetime value. Our rapidly growing client list includes leading consumer brands like Hello Fresh, Zara, Macy's, Sephora, and more.
To truly build an iconic company, we strongly believe that our people and values must be aligned with our mission. As such, we take pride in our championship team, merit-based culture. We seek team players who want to compete, win, make an impact and build a legacy, and we reward performance and impact players with generous equity and incredible career growth opportunities.
About the Role:
  • 3rd Shift Logistics Manager (Transportation Operations - Night Shift Execution)

As a Logistics Manager at Veho, you will lead the real-time execution of our first and middle-mile transportation network during our most critical operating window, overnight (3rd shift). Reporting to the Director of Transportation, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution across a high-volume, fast-moving network where precision, speed, and decision-making are paramount.
This role is highly operational in nature. You will manage a team of coordinators responsible for monitoring active loads, resolving disruptions, and executing against tight service level expectations. Success in this role requires the ability to triage issues in real time, anticipate downstream impacts, and make fast, data-driven decisions to keep the network flowing.
While you will interface with carriers and partners, the primary focus is execution oversight, performance management, and operational leadership - ensuring every load moves as planned and service commitments are met. A keen focus on leveraging AI tools and maximizing productivity will be essential to success in this role.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain, with a strong emphasis on live operations and execution management, with 2+ years of experience in Leadership.
  • Operations Leader: Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, managing real-time execution and escalations
  • Execution-Focused: Experience overseeing active transportation networks (middle-mile, linehaul, or similar), with a strong understanding of load lifecycle and failure points
  • Problem Solver: Demonstrated ability to triage issues quickly, prioritize effectively, and drive resolution under tight timelines
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret operational data (OTP/OTA, delays, volume vs plan) and translate into actionable decisions in real time
  • Anticipates Risk: Strong ability to "see around corners" - identifying risks before they materialize and proactively adjusting plans
  • Team Builder: Experience managing and developing coordinators or operators responsible for day-to-day execution
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms (e.g., Turvo) and real-time tracking tools preferred

What You'll Do:
  • Own Night Shift Execution: Lead transportation operations during the overnight window, ensuring all loads execute on time and according to plan across a high-volume network
  • Manage Real-Time Operations: Oversee active shipments, monitor performance, and ensure rapid response to any disruptions impacting service
  • Lead a Team of Coordinators: Direct and support a team responsible for load tracking, exception management, and execution - providing guidance, prioritization, and escalation support
  • Drive Escalation & Issue Resolution: Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues, including delays, missed pickups, capacity gaps, and network disruptions
  • Make Real-Time Decisions: Adjust routing, capacity, and recovery plans dynamically based on live network conditions
  • Source & Book Ad Hoc Recovery Shipments: Source and secure recovery capacity in real time, balancing cost and service to protect both network performance and margin - ensuring recovery decisions are deliberate, justified, and aligned with operational priorities
  • Monitor & Drive Performance Metrics: Own execution KPIs such as On-Time Departure (OTD), On-Time Arrival (OTA), and service reliability - ensuring issues are addressed in the moment, not after the fact
  • Identify Risks Proactively: Anticipate potential failures (capacity, congestion, delays) and take preemptive action to mitigate downstream impact
  • Partner Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Planning, Ground Operations, and Network teams to align execution with forecast and network design
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring operational issues and partner with leadership to improve processes, tools, and workflows

Compensation: $100,000-$115,000 annually
