We help children ages 0 through 5 by supporting parents, providing connections to resources and programs, and offering ways tomonitorand enhance early childhood development. Job Overview

The Communications and DevelopmentInternwill gainhands-onexperience in communicationsand marketingwithina larger team by supportingprogrammatic communications,donorrelations, audience segmentation, database hygiene, and other duties as needed.

They willtake partinvarious campaignsusingsocial media, print design, copywriting, public relations, and project management.This positionwillhelpwithoutreacheffortsand generate community involvementthrough various communicationmeans.

This internship position is unpaid, but interns will receive a $500 stipend to help cover food, housing,andtransportationcosts, and collegecreditcan be earned.

This in-person internship will run from August 31st, 2026, through December 18th, 2026,withamandatoryorientation onThursday, August 27th,from 9:00am-2:00pm at the Family Futures' office. This internship can also be extended into the next internship period for a second semester.

Family Futures employees, volunteers, and internsserve as spokespersons and champions of Family Futures in the communities we serve. A position at Family Futures may entailthe following: the use of a personal vehicle, lifting of boxes (roughly 25lbs.), as well as attendance of community events outside of regularly scheduledhours.For any adaptations or accommodations for the above information, please reach out tothe hiring manager.

Roles andResponsibilities:

Support the Communications and Fund DevelopmentTeam:

  • Social Media content creation, management, and evaluation
  • Appeal development and management
  • Targeted outreach campaigns and community events
  • Campaign analytics and reporting
  • Donor communications and promotional materials
  • Website maintenance and quality assurance
  • Assistwith planning and coordinating upcoming events(ex.Trunk-or-Treat and SpringFundraiser)

Required Qualifications

  • Currentcollegestudent or recent graduate
  • Ability to work independently andwith ateam
  • Strong communication, time management, organization, and Microsoft Officeskills
  • Ability tomaintainconfidentiality, work autonomously, and be detail oriented
  • Ability to workin-personat least 15hours per week

PreferredQualifications

  • Design concept knowledge
  • Experience with the following:
    • Graphic design using Canva
    • Mail marketing platforms, such as MailChimp
