Student Employee - MarComm Video Producer

Overview:

Join one of the most exciting job opportunities at Ensign College! As part of the Creative Crew, you will play a key role in creating video content that drives engagement, boosts enrollment, and highlights the unique pillars of Ensign College. In the past 18 months, our YouTube channel has grown to over 20,000 subscribers and reached more than 20 million impressions, and we need talented individuals to help us continue this momentum.

Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. Hours: 15-19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing:Edit video content using software such as Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro X. Create dynamic, engaging content for YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms.

  • Filming:Capture high-quality footage of events, interviews, and other promotional content. You will be responsible for setting up and managing camera equipment, audio, and lighting for video shoots.

  • Content Creation:Work closely with the marketing team to brainstorm and produce creative content that aligns with Ensign College's brand and mission. This may include educational videos, promotional content, or student-focused projects.

  • On-Screen Talent (Preferred):Being comfortable on camera is a huge plus! If you can bring energy and charisma in front of the camera, you'll have opportunities to be featured in various video projects.

  • Collaboration:Work with other student employees, faculty, and staff to ensure content is aligned with marketing goals and objectives.

  • Multimedia Skills:Have a creative vision for content and be capable of utilizing different formats, including motion graphics, animations, and sound effects, to enhance video quality.

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits and in good academic standing.

  • Proficiency in video editing software (Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro X).

  • Basic knowledge of filming techniques, including lighting, audio setup, and camera operation.

  • Creative mindset with an understanding of storytelling and video production.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • On-camera experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Experience with YouTube and Instagram content creation is preferred but not required.
