Job description

We invite you to join Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation, a Missouri Community Action Agency, as part of our expanding Adult Education program. The YouthBuild Job Development Case Manager oversees the success of YouthBuild program participants. This position supports the work of DAEOC, a community action agency committed to empowering people to make positive change.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Register program participants in DAEOC's Apprenticeship Program.
  • Create an employment plan or goal for each program participant.
  • Assist program participants with employment applications and interview preparation for employment.
  • Continuously track the program participant progress and follow up after completion.
  • Recruit participants for the YouthBuild program.
  • Answer questions and/or discuss classroom issues involving attendance or behavior, offer guidance for successful worksite performance and future employment.
  • Provide continuous support and guidance for program participants.

Education and/or Experience and Professional Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Associates degree in business, human resource management or education is preferred
  • Experience in adult education is desirable
  • Clean Background Check and Drug/Alcohol Test
  • Valid Missouri Driver's License

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which will include evenings. Must be able to travel the six-county area occasionally and go out-of-area on a periodic basis.
