GENERAL SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Family Programming Director, the Kids Program Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging and educational recreational experiences that enhance our after-school learning program. This role ensures the consistent delivery of professional, high-quality programs for youth members in grades K-12, always striving to exceed expectations.
We are seeking multiple instructors with specialized skills in areas such as sports, art, music, dance, karate, and other enrichment activities. Each instructor will bring their unique talents and creativity to design and lead programs that inspire, challenge, and engage children in a positive and active learning environment.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Create engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for a variety of age groups
  • Create and display a weekly schedule that outlines activities for the day that students and parents can refer to
  • Provide support to ensure every student is engaged and successful
  • Extensive knowledge of age-appropriate sports and fitness coaching and instructional techniques
  • Be flexible and forward-thinking, always have a backup plan and be ready to execute
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate sports activities such as drills, scrimmages, and games to foster skill development and fun.
  • Greet parents and children warmly; encourage participation with enthusiasm.
  • Engage with kids during sessions, ensuring all children are actively participating, with extra attention to those needing guidance.
  • Safely transfer kids to and from activities within the Club.
  • Arrive punctually for all scheduled activities and ensure all equipment is set up and stored correctly before and after use.
  • Represent the club professionally through positive interactions, appropriate attire, and timely responses.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Communicate with the Family Programming Director and parents in a timely and professional manner regarding child's progress or any issues.
  • Actively participate in camp events, programs, staff meetings, training sessions, and marketing efforts related to kids programming.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, as job may require day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with children in a childcare, babysitting, camp, coaching, or instructional setting.
  • Strong background in recreational programming, age-appropriate instruction, and effective group management.
  • Genuine passion for inspiring children through fun, fitness, and learning.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude.
  • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and willing to acquire new skills.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
