Help Strengthen Families. Build Stronger Communities. Lead Meaningful Change.
At Yolo County Children's Alliance (YCCA), we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our mission is to protect and empower children by strengthening families throughout Yolo County through family support, parent education, and community collaboration.
We're seeking a passionate, strategic, and collaborative Program Director - Home Visiting & Family Strengthening Services to lead two of YCCA's flagship programs that support children and families during some of life's most critical moments.
This is more than a management position-it's an opportunity to shape programs that improve outcomes for hundreds of families while leading a dedicated team of professionals committed to making a lasting difference.
What You'll Do
As Program Director, you'll provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for YCCA's Home Visiting and Family Strengthening Services, ensuring high-quality, family-centered programs that meet contract, accreditation, and community expectations. You'll:
  • Lead and mentor one Program Manager and three Program Supervisors
  • Oversee program quality, compliance, budgets, contracts, and performance
  • Support Healthy Families America accreditation and continuous quality improvement
  • Develop strong partnerships with hospitals, community organizations, funders, and government agencies
  • Manage reporting, evaluations, and grant deliverables
  • Represent YCCA at county, regional, state, and national collaborative meetings
  • Help identify and pursue new funding opportunities
  • Participate in executive leadership planning and organizational decision-making
  • Support community outreach and YCCA-sponsored events

We're Looking For Someone Who Has
  • Strong nonprofit or human services leadership experience
  • Experience supervising managers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Budget, grant, and contract management experience
  • Quality assurance and continuous improvement experience
  • Knowledge of home visiting, early childhood, maternal-child health, or family support services
  • Experience working with culturally diverse communities using strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities
  • Ability to travel throughout Yolo County and occasionally throughout Northern California or out of state

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Healthy Families America
  • Knowledge of child welfare, infant and child development, and parent-child attachment
  • Understanding of Protective Factors and trauma-informed care
  • Familiarity with Yolo County community resources

Why This Role Matters
Every day, your leadership helps strengthen families, support parents, improve child well-being, and expand access to vital community resources. You'll lead talented professionals, build lasting partnerships, and ensure programs continue to make a measurable impact across Yolo County.
If you're an experienced leader who believes strong families build strong communities, we'd love to hear from you.
Yolo County Children's Alliance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where everyone is welcomed, valued, and respected.
County or State Required Documentation: Due to the nature of this role that may involve interaction with youth or require YCCA meet certain guidelines stipulated in federal and state funding, a fingerprint and background check is required.
