Job description

**Job Summary:**
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Dunedin is seeking an After Care Director to oversee the after-school program for children in grades K through 8. The program operates from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM daily. The After Care Director is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the children and creating a welcoming environment with engaging activities.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in after-school programming
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement a schedule of activities that appeal to children and create a positive after-school environment
- Supervise the assistant director and provide support in scheduling and finding substitutes when needed
- Supervise all pick-ups and ensure proper sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed
- Provide snacks, supervise snack time, playground time, and game time for the children
- Collaborate with school staff to align after-school activities with the school's curriculum
- Maintain accurate records of program attendance and incidents
- Stay updated on best practices in after-school programming to enhance the program's quality and appeal.
