About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate After School Program Teacher to join our team at Beulah Duke Learning Academy, located within Chesapeake Christian Center. The ideal candidate will create a secure, structured, and enjoyable environment for school-age children during after-school hours. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children learn, grow, and develop positive relationships in a faith-based setting.


What You'll Do
  • Engage with and supervise school-age children in a safe, nurturing, and organized manner.
  • Support children with homework, enrichment activities, and creative play.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social and emotional growth.
  • Effectively communicate with parents, staff, and administration.
  • Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment, ensuring safety procedures are followed.
  • Contribute to center-wide events and family engagement activities as needed.

Requirements
  • Ability to pass a background check and complete required training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with children in a group setting preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented.

Hours: 2:00pm-5:30pm
