About This Role

After School Program Monitor (School-Age Children)

Join our team in Hampton, VA, as an After School Program Monitor and play a vital role in creating a fun and engaging environment for school-age children during after-school hours and full-day programs.

💲 $14–$16 per hour

Work part-time or full-time hours available during school breaks, holidays, and summer.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise and engage school-age children during after-school hours, ensuring a safe and engaging environment
  • Provide academic and recreational support during homework time, games, and enrichment activities
  • Lead group activities, including outdoor play and structured games
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
  • Assist with student check-in and check-out procedures
  • Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere, encouraging teamwork and good behavior
  • Communicate effectively with parents and team members as needed
  • Participate in field trips and special activities during summer and school breaks

Requirements
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Ability to stay active and engaged with kids
  • Reliable and able to supervise groups of children
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience working with children (childcare, camps, after-school programs, etc.)
