Senior Site Coordinator - Haverhill YMCA After School Programs

Are you an experienced childcare professional with a passion for youth development and team leadership? Are you ready to take the next step in your career by overseeing multiple licensed after-school programs while mentoring staff and creating exceptional experiences for children?
The Haverhill YMCA is seeking a Senior Site Coordinator to provide leadership and operational oversight for three licensed before- and after-school program sites. In this role, you'll work closely with the Program Director to ensure high-quality programming, support Site Coordinators and staff, maintain licensing compliance, and build strong relationships with children, families, and school partners.

What You'll Do
Provide leadership and operational oversight for three licensed before and after-school program sites.
Supervise, mentor, and support Site Coordinators and program staff, helping them grow professionally while maintaining high program standards.
Ensure programs operate in compliance with Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) licensing regulations and YMCA policies.
Help create engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, social-emotional development, and healthy living.
Build positive relationships with children, families, school administrators, and community partners.
Support staffing, scheduling, program operations, and problem-solving across multiple locations.
Maintain program documentation, monitor quality standards, and ensure program resources are organized and readily available.
☀ During the summer, serve in a leadership role within YMCA Day Camp programs, helping create safe, engaging, and memorable experiences for campers and staff.
What You'll Bring
Leadership experience in a licensed childcare, before and after-school, or youth development program.
Experience supervising or mentoring staff and creating a positive team culture.
Strong knowledge of child development, behavior management, and youth engagement.
Ability to oversee multiple program locations while balancing competing priorities.
Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations or the ability to quickly learn and apply them.

  • Must be at least 20 years old
  • Associates or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must meet EEC qualifications of a Site Coordinator and have a minimum of 1 year of previous experience working with school-aged children in a program setting
  • Senior Site Coordinator positions available will oversee sites with 81+ licensing capacity, previous Site Coordinator or relevant experience required.
