The opportunity
The primary function of the Inspector position is to doff packages from the spinning frames to either pallets or boxes while inspecting for yarn defects or problems.
  • Check frame for packages that have fell over on frame conveyor before doffing.
  • Activate Frame conveyor and doff packages to either a pallet or a box inspecting for proper quality.
  • Put a separator between each layer of a box or pallet. Fill out proper identification forms and attach to box or pallet.
  • Have completed boxes or pallets in place for easy access for Fork Truck Operator to pick up later.
  • Get pallet componentry (Top, Bottom, Separators) as needed for doffs at each frame.
  • Get boxes from storage in bundles, form, and tape bottom of boxes, push to frame requiring boxes.
  • Check identification of frame against Manufacturing Order # (MO#) to make sure correct yarn is being packed.
  • This opportunity is based in our Yarns Division

The requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions, reliability, & willingness to work with a team Exceptional attendance and work ethic.
  • Standing and walking at a steady pace for 12-hour shifts minus assigned breaks good hand & eye coordination and hand dexterity.
  • Ability to work in cotton dust environment.
