CDL Yard Hand Pay Rate and Hours:
  • Pay: $18.00 per hour

CDL Yard Hand Position Overview:
We are seeking two dependable Yard Hands to support daily operations at the bus plant. This position is responsible for moving buses throughout the facility, performing inspections, and ensuring vehicles are staged and delivered to the appropriate locations.

CDL Yard Hand Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and move buses throughout the facility and yard as directed
  • Stage buses in designated locations for production, service, delivery, or transport
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of buses
  • Inspect vehicles for damage, defects, cleanliness, and overall condition
  • Complete required inspection reports and documentation accurately
  • Coordinate with plant personnel to ensure buses are moved according to schedule
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Follow all company, DOT, and facility safety procedures
  • Communicate any maintenance, safety, or operational concerns to supervisors
  • Assist with general yard operations and vehicle organization as needed
CDL Yard Hand Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL required
  • Previous experience operating commercial vehicles preferred
  • Ability to safely maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections and complete required paperwork
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; candidates with 3–4 years of stable work experience will also be considered
