Yard goat drivers and other truckers can earn high weekly wages, but earning $14,000 a week is uncommon and typically associated with specialized roles, owner-operator positions, or those with extensive experience and freight contracts. Other high-paying CDL roles include truck drivers, bus drivers, and specialized transport operators.

Do you need a CDL to drive a yard goat?

Yard goat drivers typically do not need a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) because yard goats are used for switching and moving railcars within rail yards, which usually requires a different certification or training.
