Job Responsibilities
  • Operate a yard goat/yard truck to safely move trailers throughout the facility
  • Move trailers between loading docks, staging areas, and designated parking locations
  • Position trailers at docks for loading and unloading
  • Safely connect and disconnect trailers from the yard truck
  • Perform yard checks and maintain accurate trailer locations
  • Communicate with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production teams
  • Follow all yard traffic rules, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Inspect the yard truck and report any mechanical or safety concerns
  • Maintain awareness of pedestrians, vehicles, equipment, and other hazards
  • Keep the yard and staging areas organized and free of unnecessary obstructions
  • Assist with general warehouse and yard duties as needed
  • Complete required paperwork, logs, or tracking documentation
  • Meet productivity and safety expectations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications
  • Previous Yard Goat, Yard Driver, Hostler, Spotter, or trailer-moving experience preferred
