Job description

Job Summary:
As a Terminal Tractor Driver, you will be responsible for moving trailers within the plant, between dairies, and staging areas using a terminal tractor (yard spotter). This position does not require a CDL, but prior experience with yard hostlers or similar equipment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a terminal tractor to safely move trailers to and from dairies and staging areas
  • Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance checks of equipment
  • Communicate with plant and yard staff to coordinate trailer movements
  • Maintain accurate records of trailer locations and movements
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures
  • Work in varying weather conditions and fast-paced environments

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license (CDL not required)
  • Previous yard hostler/terminal tractor experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
