The Role

As aLevel DesigneratCompulsion Games,you willbe responsible fordesigning and craftingimmersive and engaging game levelsthat align with the game's vision and mechanics. You will work closely withgame designers, environment artists, and programmersto creatememorable player experiences through level layout, gameplay pacing, and environmental storytelling.

You will be involved in thecreation, iteration, and fine-tuningof levels to ensuregameplay balance, fluid navigation, and interactive world-building.


Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and implementengaging and well-balanced game levels.
  • Workwithgame designers andenvironmentartiststo ensure gameplay and visual harmony.
  • Integratenarrative elementsinto level layouts to support storytelling.
  • Implementinteractive elements and gameplay mechanicsusing scripting tools.
  • Conductplaytests and analyze player feedbackto improve level flow and pacing.
  • Optimizelevel layouts forperformance, navigation, and player immersion.
  • Work closely with the programming team to ensuresmooth technical implementation.
  • Maintaindocumentation and guidelinesfor level design standards.
  • Stay updated onindustry trends, tools, and best practicesin level design.

Skills andExperience:

  • 2+ years of experiencein level design (AAA or indie experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge oflevel design principles, player flow, and spatial storytelling.
  • ProficiencywithUnreal Engine and level-building tools.
  • Experience withscripting languages (Blueprint, Lua, or similar) is a plus.
  • Ability toanalyze playtests and iterate on level design accordingly.
  • Strongproblem-solving and critical thinking skills.
