About the Opportunity:

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking an experienced Electron Beam (EB) Welder with additional expertise in heat treatment and X-ray inspection. The ideal candidate will be responsible for high-precision electron beam welding operations while ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards. Secondary responsibilities include supporting heat treatment processes and performing X-ray inspections to verify weld and material integrity.

Location: Stuart, Florida - Onsite. Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM (10% Shift Differential).

Responsibilities:

  • Operate overhead crane, pallet jack, and fork truck to support assigned operations.
  • Clean and prepare aerospace parts prior to EB weld operations.
  • Properly load/unload fixtures into EB weld equipment.
  • Clean EB weld chamber and weld fixtures to ensure stable processing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and weld symbols.
  • Develop and refine existing programs for EB weld machines.
  • Monitor and adjust welding parameters to ensure weld integrity and compliance.
  • Conduct inspections to verify weld quality and adherence to aerospace standards.
  • Load/unload, operate, and maintain furnaces according to work instructions and industry specifications including fixtures and aerospace parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and report equipment issues.
  • Ensure proper temperature control and conduct required testing.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in failure investigations as needed.
  • Load/unload parts and fixtures onto x-ray vault rotary table.
  • Perform radiographic inspections on welded and heat-treated components.
  • Interact with certified NDT personnel to interpret X-ray images and identify defects and non-conformities.
  • Document findings and collaborate with quality engineers for resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed.
  • Assist in customer and regulatory audits as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding, weld visual inspection, and/or NDT preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electron beam welding, heat treat, and/or X-ray inspection.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and weld symbols.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and other aerospace quality standards.
  • Ability to operate specialized welding, heat treatment, and X-ray equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before employees in the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Have the knowledge of and/or the ability to learn shop geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms.
