The Opportunity
We are seeking an elite Senior Civil Engineer / Senior Project Manager to spearhead high-profile transit and transportation initiatives across the Pacific Northwest.
This isn't a passive management role. You will own the full project lifecyclefrom business development and strategic win strategies to technical execution and stakeholder diplomacy. If you have a deep track record of delivering multi-million dollar infrastructure for major regional transit authorities, this is your next definitive career move.
Key Priorities & Strategic Impact
Drive Regional Transit: Lead multi-disciplinary design teams on heavy-hitting transit and public works projects, interfacing directly with regional giants like Sound Transit, King County Metro, and Pierce Transit.
Win the Work: Shape the firm's growth by driving business development, steering proposal win strategies, crafting scopes/budgets, and delivering compelling oral presentations to key clients.
Command Project Metrics: Maintain absolute financial control over projects. You'll oversee cashflow projections, risk mitigation, resource allocation, and accounts receivable to ensure high profitability and on-time delivery.
Shape Office Culture: Sit at the leadership table to assist with annual business planning, workload projections, growth strategies, and strategic talent acquisition.
Legacy Mentorship: Actively coach, train, and champion the next generation of project managers and junior engineering talent.
Technical Leadership & Execution
Serve as the Lead Civil Engineer on flagship transit designs.
Direct technical staff and subconsultants in the production of flawless construction plans, specifications, and reports using AutoCAD and Civil 3D .
Lead site investigations, troubleshoot complex engineering bottlenecks, and author high-level technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Table

The Essentials: BS in Civil Engineering (BSCE) and a valid Professional Engineer (PE) License in Washington State .
The Track Record: 10+ years of heavy civil transportation and transit engineering experience.
Software Mastery: Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. (Bonus points for MicroStation proficiency).
The X-Factor: Exceptional executive communication skills, strong financial acumen, and a natural ability to build trust and rapport with demanding public clients.
Compensation, Ownership & Perks
Annual Base Salary Range: $172,000 $190,000+ (Highly competitive, scalable based on your unique depth of experience and qualifications, fully compliant with the WA Equal Pay for Equal Work Act).
