Additional Job Description:
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute seek an interventional cardiologist to practice general and interventional cardiology based in Uniontown, PA.
In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, internal medicine residents and cardiology fellows. Opportunities also exist in clinical research.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a general cardiology fellowship program and interventional fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in interventional cardiology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
