Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Private Events: Respond to all inquiries, oversee planning, and communicate food or specialty wine service needs to all relevant parties.

  2. Execute Special Dinners & Tastings: Oversee special dinners and distributor events, including complimentary tastings with the assistance of the Wine Director.

  3. Guest Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with guests by delivering highly personalized service, actively monitoring satisfaction, and promptly resolving any inquiries or concerns to consistently exceed expectations

  4. Support Wine Programs: Assist the Wine Director in the planning, marketing, and execution of winery/producer events, Friday wine tastings, and education classes.

  5. Drive Business Growth: Increase current business volume by actively growing private event bookings, wine club memberships, retail sales, and overall food and beverage revenue through strategic promotions and upselling techniques.

  6. Expand Revenue Streams: Develop and implement new initiatives to create additional avenues of revenue for the shop.

  7. Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the Front of House team, ensure exceptional service, maintain store upkeep, and facilitate clear communication between FOH and BOH.

  8. Lead Team Management: Handle all hiring, onboarding, staff development, weekly scheduling, and conduct regular FOH staff meetings.

  9. Act as Primary Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for Jamie's Bottle Shop, handling general inquiries, press, and solicitors.

  10. Assist with Projects: Collaborate with the management team on all special projects, including daily marketing and social media management.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Management Experience: Two years of demonstrated leadership experience in Front of House (FOH) restaurant management or beverage retail management is required.
  • Preferred Certifications: WSET Level 2, CMS Introductory, or higher strongly preferred.
  • Customer Service Focus: You possess an unwavering commitment to hospitality and thrive in a dynamic, guest-facing leadership role.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: You lead by example, bring a collaborative spirit, and know how to foster a supportive, high-performing work environment
  • Attention to Detail: You care about the little things, from beautifully plated charcuterie to accurate retail transactions.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and during events as needed.
  • Systems Proficiency: Highly comfortable navigating point-of-sale and inventory management systems (experience with Toast POS is a strong plus).
