Scope of Eligibility
Open to permanent employees in a competitive title who work for the Office of the Assistant Commissioner in the Water Resource Management Program and meet the requirements below.
Description
Under supervision of a supervisory official in a state department or agency or a local jurisdiction, performs technical functions in providing information and assistance in reviewing and verifying data of a routine nature; does other related duties.
Specific to the Position
This position is within the Office of the Assistant Commissioner for Water Resource Management (WRM) and serves to effectively execute assignment and tracking processes for routine responsibilities including but not limited to: the Open Public Records Act (OPRA) tasks that are assigned to the Assistant Commissioner's Records Custodian (ACRC), WRM Program-related referrals/inquiries from the general public, the use and return of WRM Enforcement Badges, mobile devices, and employee credentials upon separation from DEP employment. This position is responsible for WRM's Travel Card's restricted use in relation to approved eTRIPS requests with airfare and/or lodging; creates and maintains various, highly detailed tracking spreadsheets with defined formulas for IT equipment returns, vehicle assignments and active staff (internal/office) contact/location information.
Preferred Skill Set
Working knowledge of the OPRA process and requirements, including the Activity Tracking System; Records Retention Schedule; NJEMS; and eTRIPS. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
Requirements
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in reviewing, verifying, authorizing, and/or providing information and assistance of a technical or fiscal nature in a public or private organization.
NOTE: Applicants who do not possess the required experience may substitute semester hour credits from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one (1) year of experience.
License
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
