What is writing translation?

Writing translation is the process of converting written content from one language into another while preserving the original meaning, tone, and intent. Translators must have a deep understanding of both the source and target languages, as well as cultural nuances, to ensure accurate and effective communication. Writing translation is commonly used for books, articles, websites, legal documents, and business communications. The goal is to make the translated text read naturally to native speakers of the target language.

How do writing translation professionals typically collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and context?

Writing translation professionals often work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to accurately convey technical terminology, cultural nuances, and context-specific meanings. This collaboration may involve reviewing drafts together, discussing the intent behind complex passages, or clarifying ambiguous terms.
