REIC Rentals is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Inside Sales/Service Writer to join our growing team in Hermiston, OR.

This hybrid role serves as the central link between customers, the service department, and daily store operations. You'll support sales at the front counter while managing parts inventory, service orders, and cost controls behind the scenes.

What You'll Do

Customer & Sales Support

  • Answer incoming calls, reservations, and dispatch requests
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone
  • Recommend safe, appropriate rental equipment
  • Negotiate rental rates to maximize profitability
  • Maintain accurate rental transactions and inventory counts
  • Walk the yard daily to stay familiar with equipment status
  • Load/unload equipment as needed
  • Keep the counter, showroom, and yard organized

Service Writing & Parts Management

  • Take customer calls for rental equipment issues
  • Create and close purchase orders
  • Order parts for internal repairs 
 
  • Enter accurate parts and labor data into POR system
  • Manage parts inventory, stocking levels, and pricing schedules
  • Oversee parts profit margins and cost controls
  • Administer manufacturer and internal warranty claims
  • Ensure on-time delivery of parts and manage shipping decisions
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and manage stale inventory
  • Research vendor resources and obtain parts breakdowns
