• Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' social, emotional, and environmental circumstances, setting a solid foundation for tailored care plans.
• Develop and implement personalized service plans aimed at addressing clients' specific challenges, including intervention strategies and progress monitoring.
• Provide compassionate counseling and support to individuals and families, helping them navigate through life's significant challenges, particularly related to substance use and recovery.
• Collaborate closely with clients to create actionable service plans while connecting them to critical community resources, including healthcare, housing, and financial assistance.
• Perform crisis interventions and conduct risk assessments to ensure clients’ safety while creating long-term strategies for healthier lifestyles.
• Engage with community organizations and agencies to coordinate services, advocating for clients and ensuring continuity of care.
• Facilitate community outreach efforts to spread awareness about available services and programs, engaging potential clients and resources alike.
• Participate in case conferences, regular team meetings, and training sessions to enhance professional skills and stay updated on best practices in social work.

In this role, you will be working primarily with individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders, often in crisis situations requiring immediate intervention and support. Your work will focus on empowering clients, assisting them in developing coping strategies, and connecting them to sustainable resources for ongoing recovery and support. Your contributions will directly influence positive outcomes in their lives, fostering growth and stability.

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• An active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required to practice in Texas.
• Strong understanding of social and economic justice issues as well as the principles of trauma-informed care.
• Exceptional communication skills and cultural competence to effectively engage with diverse populations.
• Proven problem-solving abilities, showcasing empathy and patience in working with challenging situations.

• Previous experience working within social service agencies or similar environments, particularly in addiction recovery contexts.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic methodologies that can be applied to substance use challenges.
• Experience with case management systems and documentation practices that ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
