About the Role:
The Die Technician plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by ensuring that dies used in production are properly maintained, installed, and functioning at optimal levels. This position requires a deep understanding of die components, tooling, and machinery to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during production runs. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Die Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with die components, tooling, and press machinery.
- Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or vocational training in die maintenance, machining, or a related field.
- Experience working with progressive dies and automated press systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in die maintenance and manufacturing.
- Basic welding or metal fabrication skills.
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software.

Remove die from machine with crane, clean, install replacement dieRemove screens and Teflon and discard, separate spinnerets and breaker plateTake spinnerets to die room, load breaker plate and place in 1550 degree ovenReassemble dies, spray, with silicon, wrap in plastic, store until neededMelt blownRemove, bolts, air knives, die tips and breaker plate to go in ovenPressure wash, inspect, reassemble, wrap with plasticClean, repair dies, build honeycombs, and maintain all equipmentQuality - Ensures quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it timelySafety - follows company procedures and uses material and equipment per manufacturers' directionsOther duties as assigned
