The Opportunity
Mass Bay Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Master's Level Group Facilitator to lead therapeutic groups within their outpatient and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs in Dorchester, MA. This is a full-time hybrid role well-suited for a clinician with a strong foundation in group facilitation, evidence-based treatment, and crisis intervention. The ideal candidate is energized by group work, skilled at fostering inclusive and therapeutic environments, and committed to supporting clients through recovery and growth.
What You'll Do
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on mental health, addiction recovery, dual diagnosis, trauma, grief, and behavioral challenges using evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, Seeking Safety, and relapse prevention models
  • Conduct patient assessments and intake evaluations to determine individual needs and contribute to person-centered treatment planning
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies promptly to ensure client safety and stability, including safety planning and coordination with higher levels of care when indicated
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record including progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and ICD-10 coding, in adherence with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and Massachusetts state regulations
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, prescribers, case managers, and outside referral sources
  • Deliver remote group and individual sessions via secure telehealth platforms when appropriate
  • Participate in weekly clinical supervision, team case conferences, and program development initiatives

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution
  • Active Massachusetts license or license-eligible status: LMHC, LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, or LADC I
  • Proven experience facilitating individual and group counseling sessions in outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, or psychodynamic therapy
  • Knowledge of crisis management protocols and behavior management techniques across diverse populations
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding and electronic medical records management
  • Strong working knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Independent licensure (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT) and/or LADC I or LADC II credentialing
  • Experience with co-occurring disorders, trauma/PTSD, grief, and addiction
  • Prior telehealth experience and comfort with virtual group facilitation
