Interview Clerk
Job duties include answering phones, checking messages, returning calls, opening and disseminating mail, greeting and guiding visitors.
Experience/skills required:
- Explanation of eligibility of applicants and recipients for public assistance programs, determining eligibility for expedited food stamp services
- Entering client data into database based on intake of caller information
- Maintaining necessary files and records
- Completing general clerical duties to include using computer to input data for clients who are applying for public assistance benefits, answering the phone, using photocopy machine, scanner and other office machines
- Must type 35 wpm
- Must be able to work at the Tallahassee office and one day in the Monticello office
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have customer service experience
- Must have computer skills
Required/desired skills:
- Ability to speak and understand English โ Required (No experience needed)
- Experience working in a public-facing role โ Required (2 years)
- Experience as a front desk receptionist or at an information desk โ Required (0-1 year)
- Excellent data entry skills โ Required (0 years)
- Ability to type 35 words per minute (wpm) โ Required (0 years)
Compensation: $16.25 per hour
